We Inherited Everything

We Inherited Everything

The more I read and study the Bible, the more I realize how precious we are to God. When He created mankind, He placed him in the Garden of Eden. That was such an awesome place, a utopia that is beyond our comprehension. He wanted the very best for His creation. He knew mankind could not live by the kind of law it would take to earn their way back into His perfection, so, He sent His son to buy back what Adam and Eve lost. The price has been paid; He just can’t get us to receive all of it. Mankind just wants Salvation from Hell. It’s sort of like Fire insurance. Yet God has so much more for us, we have inherited everything back that Adam lost. Many want to trust in Man or themselves, which is man for their wellbeing. “Cursed is the man, who trust in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert and shall not see when good comes but shall inhabit parched places in the wilderness. [Jere. 17:5-6] This is not talking about people that never knew the Lord. It says those who depart from Him. This might be why we hear so much grumbling on the streets today. People are living like a shrub in dry, parched, wilderness places. This says they will not even see when good comes. They will not make good investments or get a good job, because they can’t see it when God presents it.

“Blessed is the man who trust in the Lord, and whose hope is in the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spread out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes; But it’s leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit” [ Jere. 17:7-8]. This blessed man, who trust in the Lord, roots down in the Living Water. He does not have to fear the heat of this life because he has plenty of water. When it does not rain, he does not have to take nerve medication. He will continue right through the dry hot times and bear fruit, because he has a source of life. His name is Jesus.

As we read Psalm 23, we see that God covers our needs. He is our Shepard, makes us lie down in green pastures, leads us by calm waters, restores us as needed, we don’t have to fear, no matter how bad it gets because He will guide and direct us. He even blesses us in front of our enemies and anoints us to serve as our cup runs over. Wow!! “We inherit Everything”.

“Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip” [Heb.2:1]. This is telling us that Christianity is not a game we play, that if we are not serious about these things, they can slip. Slip means, to flow by or carelessly pass. [ Greek reference].

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” [2 Peter1:2-4].

See, “We inherited everything”. Notice though, it is through the knowledge of Him! The only way to the Father and His blessings is through the Son, Jesus Christ. If you don’t know Him or you have departed from Him, just ask Him to forgive you and invite him to be the Lord of your life. There is no person too bad for Him to receive and no sin too big for Him to forgive. Come on in with us today, “We have inherited everything “. Everything Jesus paid for is GOOD!
