For This Purpose #2

For this Purpose #2
Millions of Americans and around the world are searching or at least have the question inside themselves,  ”What is the purpose of life? What is My Purpose? Last week we started a message that will help people understand the main focus of that question. So if you will just read last weeks and this week’s article before you make a snap decision, it will help us see a portion of a truth that many overlook.

After Paul’s conversion, which was extremely powerful, Jesus spoke ”Arise and stand up on your feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear to thee: [Acts 26:16]. This is for us to rise up out of the muck of this world and stand upon the solid foundation He has given to us. “Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth ---And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;”[Eph. 6:14-15].  He appeared to us revealing the past, presence, and future through His word, preparing us for what He will show us. “Delivering thee from the people,[this world] and from the Gentiles, [the unbelievers] unto whom now I send thee”[V.17].

God had a plan for you before the world began. He has a purpose for your life or He would never have created you. He formed you in your mother’s womb.[Jere.1:5] ] He had a plan for every baby ever conceived. Many have been lost from the womb that would have been our scientist, inventers, doctors, farmers and every vocation we would ever need. Maybe the very one that would have found the cure for the terminal diseases. "whom now I send thee to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light,”[V.18a].

There is a big reasons and a little reason Jesus came to save each souls. The little reason is to save us from hell to heaven [that’s big to us]. But the big reason is, this very purpose, the reason that He doesn’t just snap us up the minute we get saved and take us on to heaven. – He has a plan for us to be excited about our salvation and tell others. The big reason is so He can make us a minister and a witness to turn people from the darkness of this world, to Jesus, who is the “Light”.  From the power of satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins,[V18c]. “Who has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:[Colo.1:13]. Now, we may have some dark times in our life, but we have been delivered from the power of that darkness! “We can do all things in Christ who strengthens me”[Phil. 4:13].

“That they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me” [V.18d]. Now all we have talked about up to now is weighed in on that phrase. The forgiveness of sin and the inheritance of the kingdom, all depend on being set apart by the God kind of faith. Faith in all Jesus paid for, on the way to the cross, the cross, burial and the resurrection, all other gods died, our God, Jesus lives today. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is, a rewarder of those that diligently seeks Him”[Heb.11:6]. You are filling your life with something, is it an eternal purpose? Is it the purpose God revealed himself to you, for you to fulfill?  “For This Purpose.”
